When deciding what to wear I always start with colour. My choice is dependent on my mood, the weather and the occasion. My style is always evolving and that’s what’s fun about fashion and getting dressed each day.
If you are overwhelmed with what to wear, keep it simple and pare down to a clean palette. Then add a striking accessory, a statement bag, a bright lipstick or some embellishment for instant flair. It ‘s the detail that makes you stand out so modernise your colours with sleek and elegant styles that can be worn to the office, brunch or dinner.
WEAR THE TRENDS YOUR WAY
Delicate powdered pastels such as dusty rose, orchid, ice blue, blush and mint are all the rage though they can wash you out. Try adding your favourite neutral such as silver grey, stone, ivory, cream or beige to provide a contrast.
If bright colours frighten you, start slowly by adding just a touch like a piece of jewellery. Be aware of fluros as they can be hard to wear, best kept for sports wear. There never has been a bigger year for prints and the choice is amazing from botanical florals, tropical prints, digital, geometric, snakeskin, polka dots and bold leaf prints.
